Who is Jax?
Jax Caldwell is an East Coast-based artist. Born in Yaroslavl, Russia and immigrated to Wilmington DE, Jax began performing at a very young age. While starting with dance Jax soon integrated singing and acting as quick as possible. Besides them working in countless theaters like “The Kimmel Center, The Byham Theater, & the Dupont Playhouse” to name a few as well as working/training with several companies like Philadelphia Ballet, Boston Ballet, and The Pittsburgh CLO. Jax enjoys the interdisciplinary time they’ve learned from their time both in concert dance and musical theater. Now Currently they are furthering their education and getting their BFA ind Dance at Point Park University with an expected graduation in 2026.
To evoke and ignite a community’s desire to entertain through honest, yearn-ful, and passionate idiosyncratic storytelling.
My objective is to develop an environment that is devoid of creative clichés and to question the idea that dance is simply a theatrical art. I shall fortify its actual function as a conduit for bringing to light our shared humanity. Dance will become less about action, and more of how one lives through lessons, principles, and an affection towards oneself.
